The SND Opera in Bratislava is opening the new theatre season with an exclusive gala concert in tribute to the passing of the world opera legend Edita Gruberová entitled EDITA GRUBEROVÁ TRIBUTE. World opera stars Brenda Rae, Francisco Araiza, Pavol Breslik, Slávka Zámečníková, Simona Šaturová, Ľubica Vargicová, Martina Masaryková, Mariana Sajko and Andrea Vizvári accepted the invitation to perform. The concert programme consists of the arias from operas by Gaetano Donizetti, Jacques Offenbach, Jules Massenet, Bedřich Smetana, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Richard Strauss. The new SND Chief Conductor, Kevin Rhodes, will conduct the concert. Other guest stars will reflect on the opera legend through docuseries. The programme will also be accompanied by recordings and photographs from the performances of Edita Gruberová.
